Danger zone in the South China Sea in the next 24 hours: strong winds from level 6, jerk from level 8 or higher. Immediately after receiving information from typhoon No. 5 landing, on September 15, 2020, the Vietnam Maritime Administration issued Official Telegram No. 3345 / CD-CHHVN on tropical depressions near the East Sea, requesting units implementing the prevention and control of natural disasters with tropical low pressure are likely to strengthen into storms.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Maritime Administration requires the maritime ports to regularly monitor storm developments in the East Sea to guide ships and boats to avoid entering the storm's dangerous area; proactively and ready to prepare natural disaster response plans. The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center directs the regional Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centers to maintain the forces and means to be ready to participate in natural disaster prevention and search. rescue when required.
