At 3:23 p.m. on October 9, 2020, the Center for Coordination of Maritime Search and Rescue II (Center II) received information that the DN 07070 TS ship had two crew members on the journey to the shelter, lost contact from 13:00 on the same day. After receiving the information, Center II coordinated with relevant local forces to implement measures to verify the nature of the accident. The family of the ship owner reported that 02 crew members of the ship Da Nang 07070 TS named Nguyen Van Ly (1964) and Le Van Trung (1983) were washed up in the sea at Mui Nghe, Son Tra, Da Nang.

At 18:55, the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control was led by Comrade Ho Ky Minh - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee to directly dispatch Son Tra Tugboat (Da Nang Tugboat Joint Stock Company. ) departed from the wharf of Center II together with 07 rescue workers of Center II directly went to the scene looking for the two victims mentioned above.

Directly directing at the scene, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee and representatives of the People's Committee of Information and Technology of the city, Da Nang Maritime Port Authority, Border Guard Committee of Bien Phong, Center II, Bi letter, Chairman of Son Tra district and functional forces participating in search and rescue coordination.

The Executive Committee proposed to comrade Nguyen Van Quang a search and rescue plan at the scene, coordinating with the authorities to locate the crew in distress as soon as possible.

At 20h55, Son Tra ship discovered the crew in distress and mobilized to approach and safely board the ship.

At 22:15, Son Tra ship took the rescued two crew members and the crew safely arrived at Center II wharf.
